Offline parts inventory · BOM checker
Know what’s in the drawer.
You own that 10 kΩ. You just can’t remember which drawer it’s in — so you order it again, pay shipping on a $0.05 part, and wait a week. Ohmly catalogues every component with the bin it lives in, then checks a project’s bill of materials against real stock so you know exactly what’s missing before you order, and never start a build you can’t finish.

The problem
Parts have no memory. Your bench does now.
Spreadsheets rot because they don’t do BOM-versus-stock maths. The web tools want an account and a signal you don’t have at the bench. Ohmly is neither.
You re-buy what you own
Three reels of the same resistor, because none of them were findable at 11 pm.
Builds stall mid-solder
Four capacitors short, discovered with the iron already hot and the shop closed.
Ohmly answers both
Every part knows its bin. Every project knows what it’s short. Stock deducts itself when you build.
Features
Everything a parts drawer should remember
Eighteen features, all of them offline, none of them behind a login.
Parts inventory
Value, type, package, rating, MPN, unit cost and quantity — the whole spec, searchable.
Storage bins
Cabinets, drawers and boxes named the way they’re labelled in the real world.
BOM shortage engine
Each line resolved against live stock: have, short by how many, and what it’ll cost.
Build & auto-deduct
Mark a project built and every BOM line comes off stock at once — with undo.
Stock ledger
Received, used, adjusted, lost — every movement dated, so counts stay honest.
Restock list
Per-part low-stock thresholds feed an in-app running-low list. No push notifications.
Duplicate guard
“You already have 240 × 10 kΩ 0603 in Drawer B3.” The anti-rebuy safety net.
Charts & stats
Consumption trend over 7 or 30 days, parts by type, stock value, most-consumed parts.
Search, filter, sort
Full-text over value, MPN, notes, bin and tags, plus filters for type, bin and low stock.
Tags, pins & bulk actions
Pin what you reach for daily; long-press to tag, archive or delete in bulk.
Streaks & achievements
Bench streaks, weekly logging and catalogue goals, and ten badges to unlock.
Export, backup, restore
JSON backups and CSV exports — including an order list you can paste into a cart.
Theme, accent, density
Dark or light, four accents, compact or comfortable — and a currency symbol that fits.
Screens
Built like an instrument, not a to-do list
Dense, high-contrast, monospaced numerics — designed to be read at the bench.

FAQ
Questions worth asking
Does Ohmly need an internet connection?
No. Cataloguing, search, BOM checks, builds, charts and exports all run on the device. The single network request in the whole app loads this privacy policy in Settings.
Where does my data live?
In an encrypted local database on your phone. There is no account, no server, and no analytics SDK. Backups are written to the app’s own documents folder and only leave the device if you tap Share yourself.
Can I get my data out?
Yes — a full JSON backup that restores, a parts CSV for spreadsheets, and an order-list CSV containing everything currently short or below its threshold.
Does it look up parts online?
No. It is your inventory, not a catalogue: you enter the parts you own, and Ohmly does the maths that a distributor site can’t do for you.
Is it really free?
Free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription.
