02 Data collection
This app does not collect any data. It does not gather personal information, device identifiers, advertising IDs, contacts, location, usage analytics, crash telemetry or diagnostic data. There is no sign-up, no login and no profile.
The parts, storage bins, projects, bills of materials and stock movements you record are created by you, stored only on your device, and never transmitted anywhere.
03 Data usage
All processing happens on the device. Search, filtering, the bill-of-materials shortage calculation, stock deduction, charts, streaks, achievements and exports are computed locally by the app itself. Nothing you enter is sent off the device for processing.
04 Data sharing
No data is shared with anyone — not with the developer, not with advertisers, not with analytics providers, not with any third party. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to share or sell.
The only time your data leaves the device is when you explicitly export a backup or CSV file and choose to share it yourself through Android's share sheet. That action is entirely under your control, and the destination is chosen by you.
05 Data security
Ohmly stores your inventory in a local Hive database on the device. The boxes holding parts
and stock movements — which include unit costs and stock values — are encrypted with AES-256,
using a key generated on first launch and held in Android's secure storage
(flutter_secure_storage, backed by the Android Keystore).
App settings, preferences and goals are also kept in secure storage. Because the data never leaves the device, it is protected by your device's own lock screen and encryption.
06 Data retention
Your data is retained on the device until you remove it. You can delete everything at any time from Settings → Clear all data, or by uninstalling the app, which removes the app's entire local database. The developer holds no copy and therefore cannot retain, restore or access anything.
07 No user accounts
Ohmly has no user accounts, no registration, no email verification and no password. It cannot identify you, and there is no cross-device profile of any kind.
08 Children's privacy (COPPA)
Ohmly is a general-purpose utility for electronics hobbyists and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, no parental consent mechanism is required or possible.
09 Your rights
Since no data is collected, there is nothing held about you to access, correct, port or erase. You nonetheless retain complete control of the data on your own device:
- Access & portability — export a full JSON backup or CSV files at any time.
- Erasure — Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall the app.
- Correction — every record can be edited or deleted in the app.
10 No third-party services
Ohmly contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services, no social-media SDKs, no payment processing and no cloud backend. No third-party service receives any information from this app.
11 Permissions
Ohmly requests exactly one Android permission:
android.permission.INTERNET— used solely to display this privacy policy page inside the app (Settings → Privacy policy). No other network request is made by the app, and your inventory data is never transmitted.
The app requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notification permissions.
12 Google Play Data Safety
The Data Safety declaration for Ohmly states: no data collected and no data shared. Data is encrypted on the device, and the app provides a way for users to delete their data. This declaration remains accurate for every feature in the app, including insights, achievements and export/import, because all of them run entirely on-device.

14 Contact
Questions about this policy or about privacy in Ohmly can be sent to [DEVELOPER_EMAIL]. As the app collects nothing, please do not include personal data in your message beyond what is needed to answer your question.
15 Legal
Ohmly is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Google Play's User Data policy. Because the app processes no personal data outside the user's own device, no data is transferred internationally and no processor agreements exist.
Where a data controller must be identified, it is the individual developer [DEVELOPER_NAME] — an independent developer, not a company, organization or third-party processor. No data broker, advertiser or analytics provider is involved in any part of this app.
